Quadrant QA ®
The Quadrant QA ® system has been developed by Tactical Solutions (Northern) Ltd in conjunction with our overall Quality Management System (QMS). It offers the end user a consistent and concise overview of information applicable to many of the products available from our company.
It should be noted that this system does not replace the more widely used ISO 9001 standard. This system is in addition and also compliments other applicable ISO standards.
Below is a detailed description of the information supplied in each ‘quadrant’ and outlines the additional services and forensic audit trail available to the end user by quoting details supplied on the label.
Quadrant (TOP LEFT)
This quadrant details the suppliers name and contact details. In the case of Tactical Solutions (Northern) Ltd there is an easily identifiable logo, consistent with all our products.
Contact details will usually include a phone and fax number plus details of website and/or email address.
We supply a back up 24hr contact number should a land line call be unsuccessful assuring the end user of 24/7 access to a company representative who can take urgent orders, offer technical advice or start any quality or forensic audit trail.
Quadrant (TOP RIGHT)
This quadrant deals with the actual product to which the label is attached/associated.
In the case of Forensic Pods™ it details the Generic Code, for example, Vehicle Pod, Anchor Point Pod, Phone Box pod thus giving the user clear information regarding the product and therefore its applications.
This information is then further enhanced by a Specific Code. This code may be the same for all comparable products, for example all standard Vehicle Pods have the same specific code (JTR001VP). Or, it may be a unique code, such as in the case of Anchor Point Pods which are bespoke pods manufactured to fit specific cells/rooms. In this case the code should match exactly with the code detailed on the Anchor Point system kit box as issued when the Anchor Point system was fitted.
Finally there is a tick box detailing whether or not the product has been irradiated.
Note: if the product HAS been irradiated there will also be an indicator dot which changes colour to confirm irradiation has taken place. This dot will be present on ALL individual irradiated products. There will also be a certificate of irradiation supplied with each batch of irradiated products.
Quadrant (BOTTOM LEFT)
This quadrant has manufacturing details and contains information specific to both quality assurance and, in certain circumstances, details to be included in any forensic audit trail.
The Manufacturers code is supplier specified and as the title suggests give details of the company responsible for the production of the product (including a code for in house production).
The Operatives code is the first section that should be completed by hand. It relates to the operative who manufactured or had the majority input in the manufacture of the product. All operative codes are recorded and obviously refer to specific individuals whose details are stored by as part of the quality management system. These details would be retained and accessible even if the operative was no longer an employee.
The QA checker again filled out by hand details a second operative/supervisor involved in production responsible for the consistent quality and manufacturing tolerances involved in each specific product.
Quadrant (BOTTOM RIGHT)
This quadrant details the batch number. This is the starting point of both the quality and forensic audit trail and should be quoted when reporting any issues or requesting any information.
From the batch number we can instigate an audit trail that not only corroborates the information with regard to manufacturer and QA checks but also, via our own quality management system, details of any further operatives who may, even briefly, have been in the vicinity of the product prior to dispatch. We can trace the suppliers, batches and date stamp component parts of the product(s) including materials and packaging. We can detail timelines for manufacture and distribution/carriage which will also allow us to list operatives and any environmental issues that may have been present at the time of manufacture.
It should be noted that such a comprehensive audit trail is only available on products manufactured/produced in the UK or Europe. This currently covers all Anchor Point pods, Vehicle pods and Phone Box pods manufactured from Tyvek. Our none Tyvek phone box pods are manufactured outside the EU and have a slightly different QMS although these particular products are irradiated by default thus negating any DNA issues and still benefit from the Quadrant QA ™ system.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The quality management system developed and implemented by Tactical Solutions (Northern) Ltd can be examined and/or discussed by appointment. We welcome any enquiries regarding this aspect of our business and would be delighted to present our QMS and answer any questions.
All our Forensic Pod manufacturers are at the very least accredited to ISO 9001. Component suppliers are likewise accredited to ISO 9001 in addition to numerous ancillary accreditations including ISO environmental certification.
Component parts not directly associated with Forensic Pods are equally rigorously tested assuring consistent quality and functionality.
Clearly the Quadrant QA labelling is only one aspect of the QMS but it does assure the end user of a consistent and simple tool to record product use and allows quick and concise access to a highly comprehensive forensic audit trail should that become necessary.
